THE JOURNEY TO SWITCH
I never dreamed my fitness journey would take me from a tiny 1,200 sq ft gym in Emory, Texas to co-founding Switch Fitness! Back then, I was juggling teaching morning classes and running The Main Ingredient, my healthy bistro next door. Life had other plans though - a move to California (thanks to marrying Nick!) led me to meet Jamie in 2015. We clicked immediately, discovering how our different strengths could create something special. By 2018, Switch Fitness was born from our shared vision.
EXPERTISE & EDUCATION
I've worn many hats in my fitness career, starting with teaching step aerobics and strength training back in Texas. One thing I've learned over the years? The same old routine just doesn't cut it. That's actually how we came up with our name - "Switch Fitness" came from watching too many people plateau or get injured doing the same workouts over and over. Mix it up, and watch the magic happen!
TEACHING STYLE & CLASSES
There's something magical about group fitness - it's where motivation meets friendship, and where accountability becomes fun! In my classes, you'll find high energy, careful attention to form, and always a push to try something new. But what really makes my heart sing? Watching our members connect and support each other through every challenge. My philosophy has evolved over 25 years from just chasing physical goals to something much deeper - now it's about quality of life and keeping both body and mind healthy.
LIFE BEYOND THE STUDIO
When I'm not running Switch's day-to-day operations or teaching, I'm focusing on our amazing community. As the resident risk-taker (while Jamie keeps us grounded!), I love connecting with our team and members, planning for growth, and dreaming up new ways to make fitness fun and accessible. The best part of my day? Seeing people discover just how strong they can be - both physically and mentally.
