THE JOURNEY TO SWITCH FITNESS
Born and raised in Elk Grove, my fitness foundation began in high school with softball and weight training. Through the years, I explored everything from CrossFit to boot camps, but it was joining Switch Fitness in 2019 that truly transformed my journey. Jamie's Pilates workshop opened my eyes to the power of core strength, while my evolving yoga practice taught me that I can do hard things. When the opportunity to become a Barre instructor arose during COVID, I took the leap with D'Lee, turning virtual certification into an adventure we shared together.
EXPERTISE & EDUCATION
My fitness credentials include certifications in:
- Barre (2021)
- HIIT
- Strength Training I continue to draw inspiration from Jamie's teaching style, constantly learning and evolving my sequences to keep classes fresh and challenging.
TEACHING STYLE & CLASSES
In my Barre classes, you'll find a unique blend of strength and grace, with sequences that build progressively and plenty of pulsing movements (cue the collective groans of accomplishment!). I emphasize mind-to-muscle connection and controlled movements, making classes accessible while keeping the energy high – even at 5 AM! My approach focuses on helping students step out of their comfort zones while honoring where they are in their fitness journey.
LIFE BEYOND THE STUDIO
Balancing life as a paralegal, instructor, and mom of two keeps me moving! My high schooler pursues her passions in band, theater, and vintage fashion, while my middle schooler loves horseback riding and softball. When not teaching, you'll find me:
- Paddleboarding at Natomas Flats or Lake Lodi
- Golfing at Emerald Lakes (a newfound passion!)
- Running at Elk Grove Park or the American River trail
- Walking my French bulldogs, Luna (the calm "daddy's girl") and Deebo (the energetic "mama's boy")
