My fitness journey began with childhood gymnastics, where I first discovered the beautiful balance between strength and flexibility – and developed a lasting love for being upside down! While my competitive gymnastics years were brief, they taught me invaluable lessons about body awareness that still influence my teaching today. In 2015, I took a leap of faith by completing Inferno Hot Pilates training before ever taking a class. What started as a “let’s try this for a few months” experiment while working at a yoga studio desk transformed into a passionate career, leading to co-founding Switch Fitness with D’Lee in 2018 when we discovered our shared vision.

EXPERTISE & EDUCATION
My commitment to continuous learning has led me to earn certifications in:

Inferno Hot Pilates (2015)
Barre (2016)
Yoga (2017)
PiYo (2018)
Piloxing and Piloxing Barre (2018)
Yin Yoga (Most Recent)
Currently pursuing Throw Down certification and regularly attending yoga clinics focused on alignment and inversions. I’m constantly researching exercise and fitness techniques to keep our community at the forefront of safe, effective training.

TEACHING STYLE & CLASSES
At Switch, you’ll find me teaching Heated Power Yoga (my favorite!), Heated Vinyasa, Throw Down, Barre, Yoga Sculpt, Loaded IHP, IHP, and Strength and Conditioning. My teaching philosophy is simple: don’t take yourself too seriously! If you’re not laughing, you’re doing it wrong. While I believe in challenging ourselves, fitness should be enjoyable. You’ll often find inversions and arm balances in my flows – but always with modifications for every level. I encourage everyone to truly listen to their bodies – we often talk ourselves out of trying because of fear, or push too hard because we ignore pain signals. Finding that balance is key.

As a mom of four (including a stepson), balancing business ownership with family life requires creativity, support, and lots of coffee! I’ve maintained my own fitness journey through three pregnancies (yes, I took classes until the day before labor!), understanding firsthand how workouts need to adapt to life’s changes. Whether it’s pregnancy, recovery, injuries, age, or stress, we can always find ways to stay active and strong.

When I’m not at Switch, you might find me training for my fourth Spartan race, attempting adult gymnastics classes, or learning to line dance. I believe in constantly challenging ourselves in new ways.
